Programma Pokemon Soul Silver

From Coast to Coast

Better late than never is there this addendum for a trip in early June. So slow you could almost think I feel at home in New Zealand: I develop daily routines, the English language insurmountable hurdle seems more and I fall into the hobby, pursue the almost all this other German exiles: Hiking. Even if I had the job in Germany so far missed the attribute 'boring', my opinion has changed to green. Responsible are empty, fascinating landscapes, the related physical exertion and hiking companion, with whom it does not get boring even after days.

So it went this time from coast to coast in the north of the South Island. At the 82km Heaphy Track Golden Coast in the east connects with the rough and rainy West Coast. He is the shortest connection between the two sides, because the car it is from start to finish about 400 km. Cynics would argue at this point that there already are more ways for hikers as roads for cars, but who would have thought such a thing ...

Whether the distance we are the Heaphy tackled in two groups, so that after successful was key exchange at the Halfway everyone heading back to the car. My walk began on the west coast, which we previously estimated quite accurately stereotyped, with rain. After five hours walk on the beach next to a troubled, deeply furrowed by currents nasty sea, we reached our first (full) lodge in time for sunset. Time for cooking, relaxing, swimming in the lagoon and Marita's birthday celebrations. It seems slowly to be a habit to do the birthday too far from civilization.

The next day we left the beach behind us erklammen and accessible along a stream, the height of mountains between the coasts. On narrow, swaying suspension bridges changed the path again and again the side of the valley and took us out of the dense jungle to sea level up to sparse vegetation heights - again in the rain.
our good mood could influence the weather, but my night's rest, for his own lack of skill was pack the sleeping bag gets wet. On the third day the weather was consistently bad, just like the still sparse Vegitation lined our path. The evening, however, promised improvement for the last day for the first time with a visible full moon and stars. And indeed, the sun shone on our descent to the cars and sent to the warming rays Dip in the freezing river. Here, too, seems set routine: After training at sea cold water seems to me less and less from swimming to keep :-)
